From a young age, Gerry had a passion for everything food. He learned about food from his grandfather who owned a restaurant in Massachusetts. The love of food, cooking, creating new flavors runs through his veins. Gerry studied at Scottsdale Culinary Institute where he absorbed all the techniques to prepare himself for a culinary career.
Gerry placed third in 2000 in Chef de Chef competition in New Orleans. Gerry's knowledge enabled him to be successful within an array of multiple establishments, overseeing both FOH and BOH operations. In which took him from Arizona to Washington State, New Orleans, finally to where Gerry was established within the Tennessee Titans Pro Football team in Nashville, TN. Four Years with them Gerry was named the Executive Chef for the University of Alabama in both of their locations in Huntsville and Tuscaloosa AL.
Gerry moved to Frankfort, IL in January of 2016 following a courtship with now wife Julie, they both reside in Joliet, Gerry brings his southern and BBQ flair from Alabama to us at Skooters Roadhouse in Shorewood.
